A COVID-19 Update

Thank you for your continued support of our escape game venue. When we started as a small team of 3 in October of 2015, we had no idea of the challenges that this year would bring us. We want to continue to thank you all for your support, then and now, as we endeavor to navigate what I like to call the “new abnormal.”

Know that in addition to the CDC guidelines for our industry, we have taken the following extra steps to ensure the safety of our staff and guests:

  • Private games (only you and your household/group) are allowed

  • Reduced maximum number of participants to encourage more physical distancing in the games

  • Strict physical distancing guidelines between our staff and your group

  • Contactless payment and waiver prior to entering the facility

  • Reduced number of games per day and increased time between sessions

  • Increased cleaning and sanitizing guidelines between each group (cleaner and disinfectant are used)

  • Requirement of all guests and staff to wear face masks at all times (including in game)

  • Requirement of all guests and staff to use provided hand sanitizer or wash hands prior to entering the game

  • Minimal staff interaction (hints are delivered through audio system)

These are just some of the measures we have taken as we continue to review current research literature and CDC, county, and state guidelines on how to operate safely. We will continue to update if we implement any further changes. Until then, we hope you and your loved ones stay safe, and stay well.

COVID-19

A Message about Coronavirus/COVID-19

As you may have heard, COVID-19 (or coronavirus), has become a more widespread concern. We want you to know that our team at EscapeX Rooms share the same concerns and are committed to ensuring our staff and patrons are taking preventative measures, including those that have been detailed by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

We maintain high standards in escape game maintenance with regular cleaning. Here are some of the protocols we have set in place:

  1. Private games: We are committed to ensuring that only parties booked together for the event are present in the escape game. We do not allow public bookings or merge groups together to fill game capacity. Rest assured that if you reserve an escape game with us, it will only be you and your party in the room.

  2. No in-game actors: We have no live actors that are in game with our patrons. All game hosts and event staff monitor games closely and deliver hints via in game communication devices. It will always just be you and your party in the escape game during the standard event.

  3. Hygiene: All guests and staff have access to handwashing facilities with soap and paper towels before and after the escape games. We also have disposable gloves available upon request.

  4. Room reset: Along with full room inspection and reset after each game, we sanitize surfaces, props, and frequently handled objects such as door knobs and light fixtures after every group. We utilize single use Clorox wipes that are thrown away after each reset.

  5. Frequent cleaning cycle: In addition to cleaning the escape games after each group, we have beginning of day and end of day cleaning cycles for deep cleaning of all rooms and common areas.

  6. Staff communication: We are in frequent communication with members of our team to ensure quick response to situations and further clarification of cleaning standards and updates.

EscapeX Rooms maintains a high level of commitment to our staff, patrons, and the larger community. We will continue to monitor reputable informational sources such as the CDC and World Health Organization (WHO) websites for any updates. Additionally, we are also monitoring large scale event venue responses, such as amusement parks, theatres, and malls so that we can ensure our standards are in line with the appropriate preventative measures.
